Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,
“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”

About Northeast of the WellNortheast of the Well is a community led by Laura Johnson. They primarily focus on people recovering from drug addictions, alcoholism, & other substance abuse to bring them out of their dependency & into a new life in Christ. Currently at Long Beach, they meet every Wednesdays with women from a variety of sober living homes & recovery centers. They practice Acts 2:42 in breaking bread, worshipping, hearing a message, & a time of responsive prayer & worship.
What NUMA DoesOur primary purpose is to build relationship. As you come, you will learn their names, their stories, and build friendship with them & their children. Members of NUMA are a part of the serving team: worship & media.

ExpectationsExpect nothing. We are there to be a source of encouragement & blessing as much as they will be to us. The experience you will have will be raw & honest. We encourage you to be open to observing how the serving team serves, how the women treat one another, and getting to know both the women & the children on a personal level. We encourage you to be guided by the people around you and to be open to what God is saying at the present moment.
InvitationThis is more than a serving opportunity. This is an invitation to begin connecting to what it means to be with those that may be overlooked, how to respond, & how to implement the daily practice of hearing God's voice in our lives.
