Meet Julie
Last night was really good for me. From praise to testimony to message to prayer - I loved being there to soak it all in, and every word spoken felt like it was personally for me.
After quite some time of hesitating to pray for someone (because I'm not used to doing it, so I feel awkward and "not ready"), I finally prayed for one person.
She had already been praying so I just prayed over her. Like I've mentioned, because I'm not used to praying for people, I didn't get anything specific from God. But I did feel an urgency for her so I prayed that God hears her prayers. That she'll have faith He will provide for her. That He shows her of His presence and His love so she can have a personal encounter. After I prayed for her, I introduced myself, and turns out she goes by Julie too! Don't know the full story -- She has a legal name, but she's been going by Julie all her life. She's from another country that I can't remember, but she said that she'll be at Northeast next week again so we'll be sharing more about each other.

Meet Jeni

I'm no longer
a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I am always reminded of God's power and His grace when I attend NEW. His power because most of the women there can testify that they couldn't do it on their own. That it was the power of God that they relied on to save them from their deepest hell. His grace because it's simply clear that none of us deserves to be called a child of the God Almighty. If you are battling the lack of faith, complacency, worldly attachments, constant worry - come and experience God's power and His grace. You will leave with a heart full of gratitude and worship.

Hear
our
stories.

Each week we come away with stories -- stories given to us by God to show that He really is who He says He is. He moves in our life through the people we meet and the words that we hear. He invades us, first, so we let Him. Then He gives us a chance to respond, so we do. Hear our stories.

Meet Derek

Towards the end of the night during the prayer session, I decided to GET UP  from sitting behind and go up to one of the older ladies...
...who was sitting by herself towards the end of the row. I asked her if I could pray for her. She told me that she went up already to get prayed for and a few people had prayed for her. But then she said she didn't mind to be prayed for again. She became emotional that she wanted to break away from her addiction, she said she is so sorry for her parents, her sister and her daughter. For what they had to go through because of her. I told her that she felt a sense of guilt that she felt she had let her family down because of her addiction. But then that is where God comes in and the healing could take place in her heart and her relationship with her family. So I prayed with her that in the name of Jesus Christ, addiction to leave her and let the healing process take place between her and her family.

I realized that (1) There is no such thing is too many prayers for a person that's in need. We could serve them food and they eventually become full (physical needs). But then they will not turn away more prayers (as long as time permits for the night). The care, love (God and ours) and Holy spirit are never enough and they needed as much as we can give them. (2) Like Julie mentioned last Sunday, it pushes us as Christians to break out from our comfort zone and being too complacent. To use prayers for others in great need, to bless them as God has bless us so much already.

Meet Silvia

I love North East of the Well. When I had first started going out to NEW, I had to fight myself every week. I would have the worst of the worst days and just too exhausted to want to go. That’s when I knew that Satan didn’t want me here.
"These women at NEW have shown me what it is to be freely in love with our Creator."
